We adhere to the ratios outlined by the State of Delaware.

One’s                1:6
Two’s               1:8

2. What ages do you accept?

We accept children from ages six weeks to twelve years.

3. What are your requirements for staff?

A background check and First Aid/CPR certification is required of all employees. All full time staff must fulfill 18 hours of training relating to their field. We also have staff members that are med certified. Several of our staff have obtained degrees in early childhood and bring several years of experience.

4. Does my child need to be potty trained?

While we do not require your child to be potty trained, we focus on it in our two-year-old classroom. We will work with you as a team to help your child meet this milestone.

5. What is your discipline policy/procedure?

Part of the normal development of every child has been the need for and understanding of acceptable behavior. Each child is respected as an individual and taught to respect other children, adults, and property. Teachers will lead by example, acknowledge and encourage positive behavior, and redirect inappropriate behavior.

6. What meals/snacks do you provide?

SPLASH provides an A.M. and P.M. snack as well as milk with lunch. We ask that parents provide a healthy, well balanced lunch. Guidelines for a balanced meal can be found at: http://dpi.wi.gov/fns/pdf/menu-planning-guide-web.pdf

7. What curriculum do you use?

We use Pinnacle Curriculum starting at infancy. Pinnacle provides many hands on activities in the areas of science, mathematics, and language arts while focusing on a weekly theme.

8. What if my child has special needs?

Our goal is to provide a safe and caring environment for your child. We are more than willing to do this for a child that might have an allergy or any sort of special need.

9. What about security and safety?

One of our main goals is to provide a safe environment for your child. We have policies and procedures set up to ensure your child’s safety during emergencies, such as monthly fire drills, a security system, and a drop off and pick up procedure. For our security system a four digit number is required to enter the building. All other doors remain locked at all times. When you enroll your child at SPLASH you will provide a list of acceptable people to pick up your child. No other individual will be able to pick up your child unless permission is given and photo identification is provided by the individual. Again, your child’s safety is our number one priority.
